Food Fit For An Egyptian King

In the world we live in today, black cumin seed oil is typically not an oil we automatically think of when we hear the words superfood oils. In fact, the most popular oil that many people first think of is none other than coconut oil. Well, we think coconut oil should make some room and share the spotlight with another superfood oil – black cumin seed!

Although black cumin seeds are in their infancy of being well recognized and wildly popular, their benefits are well known and their usage dates back to when Egyptian kings ruled. In fact, these tiny seeds were so treasured that they were often times found sprinkled in the king’s tombs! King Tutankhamen, also known as King Tut, was found with a bottle of black cumin seed oil in his tomb and it has been said that Queen Nefertiti has used these “magical” seeds to reap their benefits as well!

Here at Coromega, we wanted to take those same tiny seeds and include them in our new superfood oil blend, be bright. We believe that if Egyptian Kings were treated to such a great superfood, then you should too!

Providing the power of antioxidants, omega-6 fatty acids, linolenic acid and acting as a detoxifier, black cumin seed oil is truly a superfood that we are proud to provide you with!

Are you currently taking black cumin seeds as a whole or in the form of an oil? Comment below to share with us how you reap these tiny seed’s benefits!

Avocado Superfood: Nature Knows Best!

Avocados might just be one of nature’s most delicious fruits known to man…well, at least we think so anyway! Their creamy texture and beautiful bright green color makes avocados such an easy fruit to gravitate towards. When looking for a quick breakfast, a delicious salad topping or the perfect game-day snack, avocados always seem to make a much-appreciated appearance – But did you know that these delicious fruits are much more than a palate-pleaser?

Considered a superfood, these tasty fruits are easily consumed by simply slicing one in half and spooning out the delicious green-goodness. Known for their fiber, potassium, vitamins and folic acid, avocados are making their way around many health food-lovers kitchens alike. However, there are a few other ways to reap the benefits of avocados. If you’re looking for beautiful and shiny hair, mashing up some avocados and adding them with a few other natural ingredients makes a great hair mask. Even cooking with avocado oil is a common way for today’s health-nuts to gain the great benefits for a healthy life.

Although consuming an avocado is fairly easy (yet a bit messy) and cooking with avocado oil is useful, we have created a super easy way for you to get those antioxidants, Vitamin E and monounsaturated fatty acids into your daily life by creating our new vegan superfood oil blend, be bright. This emulsified blend of oils includes coconut, chia seed, hemp seed, black cumin seed and, of course, avocado oils all mixed in to one delicious and tasty “treat”.

No matter how you wish to get the amazing benefits of avocados, one thing is for certain. Nature has given us one of the most nutritious and delicious fruits of all time!

Why You Should Love Chia Seeds!

chia image

Chia seeds, the tiny, multicolored seeds that are often times recognized as the “jelly” specs floating around in your green drink or yogurt provide such a huge benefit for your overall health! It’s no wonder why these itty-bitty seeds have become such a popular and mainstream powerhouse food.

You may recognize these seeds from your 1980s and 90s ever-popular family potted plant but did you know these seeds popularity date all the way back to the Aztecs during the pre-Columbian times? In fact, these seeds were once referred to as the “Aztec Running Food.” This was because Aztecs used these seeds for their great benefits and were able to run for long periods of times because of the immense amount of energy chia seeds provided them!

Fast-forward to today and chia seeds are becoming more and more popular. People consume them by adding them to their drinks, yogurt, salad or even eating them as they are! Even the word of cosmetic beauty is calling “dibs” on chia seeds by using them as a part of a chia seed hair gel for maximum hair hydration, facial exfoliator and hydrating masks, eye creams and even for facial redness or scars.

Luckily, we don’t only believe in the great benefits these chia seeds can provide when used topically, but we love the advantages achieved when consuming chia seed oil. Everything from antioxidants and vitamin E to omega-3,6 and 9 fatty acids and even heart health 1 are just a few of the reasons why we love chia seeds and believe you should love them too!

We have made chia seeds our best friend and recommend you do too!
